Trucks stopped in Tibagi had mechanical alterations, irregularities in documentation and a history of highway violations
On Wednesday (20), the Federal Highway Police seized two modified Ram trucks during a routine inspection on BR-376, in Tibagi, in the Campos Gerais region of Paraná. The large vehicles, classified as trucks by traffic legislation, circulated in convoy and drew attention for presenting a series of mechanical and documentary irregularities.
The two drivers were immediately fined for problems related to their licenses. The most serious case involved the driver of a Ram 3500. Without having a National Driver’s License (CNH), he had already been caught five other times driving vehicles that require such documentation. The history of recidivism is impressive: there are records of similar approaches in Foz do Iguaçu (PR) and Barra do Garças (MT) between 2024 and 2025, in addition to recent fines in Santa Catarina, Goiás and Paraná itself.

To get the dimension of what the disabled man was driving, he was behind the wheel of a pickup truck that delivers about 377 hp and 117,3 kgfm, requiring strict control on the road. In addition, the seized truck had serious illegal changes in the front suspension and in the set of wheels and tires, oversized. As a result, the man signed a Detailed Statement of Occurrence (TCO) for driving without a license generating danger of harm.
The second driver, who drove a Ram 2500, had only a CNH in category AB, insufficient for the pickup, which requires category C. The vehicle exhibited unauthorized modifications to the suspension, the lighting system and irregular films on the windows. In addition to the traffic violation, this driver was fined for environmental crime: the PRF found the removal of the emission reduction system and the use of free discharge.
The group’s recidivism goes beyond the flagrante in Tibagi. According to the corporation, the trucks collected from the yard accumulate a long history of speeding, toll evasion and disobedience in several states.
To aggravate the scenario, at the beginning of the month, another Ram 1500 TRX linked to the disabled driver had already been seized on BR-373, in Ponta Grossa. The vehicle boasted 21 accumulated fines since 2024 for the same clandestine practices, demonstrating a continuous pattern of disrespect for laws on highways.
