1:8 scale version of Sadair's Spear reproduces Koenigsegg technologies and hits the international market in July
Lego presented the new Technic set inspired by the Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear hypercar, which becomes the largest car ever produced by the line in number of pieces. With 4,104 components, the model surpasses the McLaren P1, which has 3,893 parts, and will be sold in the United States for US$ 449,99 (approximately R$2,600), with launch scheduled for July.
Produced in 1:8 scale, the set replicates several solutions of the Swedish hypercar, including the nine-speed Lightspeed transmission, Triplex suspension, functional V8 engine and removable roof.

The model also features features directly inspired by Koenigsegg’s vehicle. One of them is “Ghost Mode”, which allows you to simultaneously open the rear hood, raise the front hood, project the doors outwards and retract the rear-view mirrors. In addition, each door can be operated via buttons discreetly positioned near the rear wheel arches.
To develop the model, Lego created 19 new pieces. The project took about a year and a half to complete, longer than what is normally required for Technic assemblies due to the complexity of the new components. In addition to the commercial version, the company also produced a full-scale replica of Sadair’s Spear using 327,906 pieces.
