Lamborghini has decided to take its SUV to a new extreme with the new Lamborghini Urus SE Performante, presented this Wednesday (1st) as the fastest and most powerful utility ever produced by the Sant’Agata Bolognese brand. The version radicalizes the recipe of the Urus SE plug-in hybrid and takes over the top of the Urus range worldwide.

Under the hood, the set combines the well-known 4.0 twin-turbo V8 gasoline engine with a permanent magnet electric powertrain, powered by a 25.9 kWh battery — which guarantees more than 60 km of range in electric mode alone. The combined power reaches 812 hp at 6,000 rpm, and the maximum torque at 101,97 kgfm, available from the first gear. There are 146 hp and 15,3 kgfm more than the previous Urus Performante. With these numbers, the SUV goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, accelerates from 0 to 200 km/h in 10.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 312 km/h.

More than extra cavalry, the Performante seal prioritizes weight relief and aerodynamic enhancement. With the intensive use of carbon fiber in components such as the hood, roof, fenders, side skirts and rear diffuser, in addition to the adoption of an Akrapovič titanium exhaust and new brakes, the model was 32 kg lighter than the conventional Urus SE, with a homologated weight of 2,473 kg. The result is a weight/power ratio of 3 kg/hp, a benchmark in the category.
The SUV debuts the AURA dual-chamber air suspension, which reduces body roll by 55% and vibrations by 25% compared to the previous generation Performante. The aerodynamic set delivers 23% more downforce than the standard Urus SE, which increases stability at high speeds. Completing the package are the Pirelli P Zero tires, mounted on 22 or 23-inch wheels. As a novelty, the model debuts the Rally driving mode, calibrated for loose floors, which adds to the Strada, Sport and Corsa programs and the fully electric mode.

Lamborghini has not yet released the official values and said that it will reveal the price closer to the arrival of the model in the United States. As the Urus SE starts from around US$ 250 thousand to US$ 280 thousand, the expectation is that the Performante version will exceed US$ 300 thousand – something above R$ 1,56 million at the current price – positioning itself among the most exclusive and technologically advanced super-SUVs in the segment.
