The minivan abandons V6 engine, gains electrified set and increases energy efficiency without giving up interior space
Kia starts sales of the Kia Carnival 2027 in Brazil, which arrives with a new look and is now a hybrid. Offered in a single EX version for R$ 684.990, and is now available for order, the minivan offers a five-year warranty with no mileage limit and eight years or 160 thousand km for the battery.
The new set combines a 1.6 turbo engine with 180 hp and 26,5 kgfm with an electric engine of 73 hp and 30,4 kgfm, resulting in 245 hp and 37,4 kgfm, always with automatic transmission. Despite the 27 hp reduction compared to the previous model, the immediate torque of the electric motor improves response at low speeds.

According to Inmetro, urban consumption reaches 11.9 km/l, 63% higher than the 7.3 km/l of the previous version, while in the road cycle it reaches 10.2 km/l. The system also allows starts in electric mode, reducing fuel expenditure in traffic.
To accommodate electrification, Kia recalibrated the suspension, resized the chassis and reinforced the brakes, ensuring body control and stability even with the increase in weight. The dimensions were maintained, with 5.15 m in length and 3.09 m in wheelbase, preserving the ample interior space. The trunk offers 627 liters with all seats in use and up to 2,827 liters with the backrests folded down.
Visually, Carnival adopts the brand’s new identity, with headlights integrated into the grille and LED daytime running lights, in addition to interconnected taillights. The 19-inch wheels complete the set.
The cabin features two 12.3-inch curved screens that concentrate the dashboard and multimedia, with wireless mirroring, reducing physical buttons. Among the driving assistants, there is autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane assist and blind spot monitor with image on the dashboard.
