iCAUR, Chery’s new brand of electrified SUVs, will be presented to the Brazilian public during the Interlagos Festival, in São Paulo, between August 27 and 30. The debut makes iCAUR the fifth brand linked to the Chinese group to operate in the country, alongside Caoa Chery, Omoda & Jaecoo, Jetour and Lepas.
The name has an unobvious explanation: the brand was born in China as iCar and adopted the spelling iCAUR in international markets to avoid trademark registration conflicts. The pronunciation, however, remains “iCar”.
According to the company, iCAUR arrives with a premium positioning and philosophy anchored in the concept “the classic never goes out of style” — official translation of the slogan “Classic Never Fades”. The bet follows the advance of SUVs with straight lines and a robust look, a silhouette that has once again attracted consumers in several markets.

V27 should open the line in Brazil
The brand’s first model in the country should be the V27. The SUV is about 4.90 meters long and has a square design that refers to Land Rover Defender and Mercedes-Benz G-Class. In China, it uses an extended range hybrid system, in which the 1.5-liter gasoline engine works only as a generator to power the electric motors.
Next, scheduled for 2027, should come the V23, a compact SUV of 4.22 meters and a retro look, with circular headlights and highlighted fenders. This is fully electric and, in the entry-level version sold in China, has a 136 hp rear motor, a 59.9 kWh battery and a range of up to 401 km in the CLTC cycle. The top configuration adds a second motor on the front axle, reaches 211 hp and uses an 81.7 kWh battery.

Network in formation and a robot in the premiere
Before the official presentation, the brand began to set up its national operation. Since the beginning of August, iCAUR has been holding meetings with potential dealers and investors to present the global positioning, the expansion plan in Brazil and the business opportunities for local partners. The formation of the distribution network is a stage prior to the start of sales, the date of which has not yet been informed.
At the Interlagos Festival booth, iCAUR will also exhibit a humanoid robot developed by AiMOGA, the robotics arm of the Chery group. Named Mornine, the equipment is 167 cm high and was designed to work in showrooms, receiving customers, presenting models and answering questions about the cars.
