Jeep is selling the Renegade Altitude 2027, the entry-level version of the SUV, for R$ 124.990 — R$ 17.000 below the list price of R$ 141.990. The condition is valid for payment in cash, requires the car in Carbon black and without options, and is announced on the brand’s website for orders placed between August 5 and September 2, or while the stock reserved for the campaign lasts.
The movement contradicts what the manufacturer itself had signaled: when the 2027 line was presented, in March, the initial price of R$ 129.990 was valid as a promotional price for the first 3.000 units, and the table should later rise to R$ 141.990. Four months later, the Renegade did not rise: it was 12% cheaper than expected.
Tougher competition explains the account

The Renegade discount arrives in a segment that has been pulverized: in July, according to Fenabrave, the Volkswagen Tera took the lead among SUVs with 10,165 units, up 9.4% over June, followed by T-Cross (7,070) and Hyundai Creta (5,880). The GWM Haval H6 also advanced, with 5,673 registrations and a growth of 43.9%, the Toyota Yaris Cross (5,036) and the Fiat Fastback (4,849). The Renegade was in 2,934 units and only in 33rd position in the overall ranking.
The pressure also comes from outside the segment. Chinese compact electric cars, with entry-level versions of around R$ 120 thousand, compete for the same pocket: the BYD Dolphin Mini was the sixth best-selling car in the country in July, with 7,265 units, and the Geely EX2 jumped from 17th to ninth position, with 5,898. It was the first time that three electric vehicles appeared among the ten best sellers of the month.
What has changed in the 2027 line

Presented in March, the Renegade 2027 gained a redesigned dashboard, inspired by the bigger brothers Compass and Commander, 10″ multimedia center and air vents for rear seat passengers. The mechanics remained the same: 1.3 turboflex T270 engine, with up to 176 hp and 27,5 kgfm, associated with a six-speed automatic transmission, but with the option of mild hybrid versions that save about 10% of fuel. All-wheel drive and the nine-speed gearbox were restricted to the Willys version.
The offer comes at a time when Jeep is preparing the commercial debut of the Avenger, the brand’s new entry-level SUV, produced in Porto Real (RJ) and positioned below the Renegade. The model is 22 cm shorter in length and uses a 1.0 turboflex engine with 116 hp with a 12-volt mild hybrid system.
