Fiat has unintentionally given another sneak peek at its future SUV lineup, as the Grizzly family’s seven-seater utility vehicle has been spotted without camouflage for the first time. The images, released by the FCA Fan Brazil profile, show the largest member of the new generation of products based on the Smart Car platform, a model that, in the country, still has no defined name.

The same family will give rise to the successors of Pulse and Fastback: a compact SUV in place of the first and a coupe SUV for the second. Known internally as the F2U Project, the seven-seater will be the most spacious option, will be positioned above the Pulse and marks Fiat’s entry into an unprecedented segment for the brand in the Brazilian market. According to behind-the-scenes information, it will also come in a five-seater version.

The photos reveal a vehicle that appears larger than it actually has. Reinforced fenders, stretched wheelbase, and wide rear doors reinforce the focus on interior space. The elongated rear column draws attention, while the short rear overhang suggests priority to the comfort of the second row, which should make the third more suitable for short trips or children. At the rear, the taillights have small LED elements; at the front, the SUV follows Fiat’s new global identity, derived from the European Great Panda.

Developed on the same basis as the future Argo, the SUV should measure about 4.40 m in length, with a wheelbase close to 2.68 m, numbers close to those of the Citroën Aircross, with whom it shares part of the structure. The Smart Car platform is an evolution of Stellantis’ CMP architecture, aimed at emerging markets and already used by models such as Citroën Basalt and the European Opel Frontera.

Although Fiat has not yet confirmed the technical sheet, the expectation is that the model will use the Turbo 200 engine (1.0 turbo flex) with a 12 V micro-hybrid system (MHEV) and CVT transmission, an estimated set of around 130 hp and already present in other products of the group.

The SUV is part of the largest product renewal in Fiat’s history in Brazil, which starts with the new Argo, in 2026, followed by the next generations of Pulse and Fastback. The national version will be produced in Betim (MG), and the premiere is expected between 2027 and 2028. In Europe, the brand should present the novelty at the Paris Motor Show in October.
