There is one type of order that only happens in extremely exclusive segments of the automotive market: the tire made for a single car. Bridgestone has just delivered one of these to Lamborghini, with four versions developed and manufactured in Italy exclusively for the Revuelto SV.

The star of the line is the Potenza Race R, a semi-slick track tire presented in August. It combines a compound inspired by motorsport with a more aggressive tread design, rises in temperature quickly and, according to the manufacturer, maintains consistent lap times from first to last. Despite its vocation as a racetrack, however, the Potenza Race R is homologated for street use.

car The rest of the family is where things get curious: there is the Potenza Sport, for road use, which can come with run-flat technology: even with zero pressure, it allows you to run 80 km at up to 80 km/h after a puncture. That is, the owner of a car that exceeds 345 km/h can finish the ride at 80 per hour, in the right lane.

There is also the Blizzak LM005, winter version, made considering all the characteristics of the most powerful Lamborghini ever made when riding in icy conditions.

The measurements are also impressive: 265/35 ZR20 at the front and 345/30 ZR21 at the rear. There are 34.5 cm of rubber touching the asphalt behind each wheel, with a load index of 111, which is equivalent to 1.090 kg supported per tire.

Two hundred tires that never existed

The development was done with Virtual Tyre Development (VTD) technology, which allows the tire to be designed and tested in a digital environment before manufacturing prototypes. Bridgestone claims that about 200 physical tires are no longer produced with each project and that the method reduces raw material consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 60% in the development phase.

On the car side, the demand justifies the effort: the Lamborghini Revuelto SV uses a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine combined with three electric motors, with 1,065 hp and 145.3 kgfm, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds and exceeds 345 km/h.

It is the most powerful and fastest production Lamborghini ever made in Sant’Agata Bolognese, with production limited to 1,963 units and a price above 600 thousand euros, about R$ 3.6 million.

The partnership between the two brands reaches its sixth year. It started at the Huracán STO, went through the 2023 Revuelto, the house’s first hybrid V12, and today also includes the Temerario and the Phenomenon.
