Audi has started delivering the new A5 Avant and A6 Avant e-tron to its dealership network in Brazil. The two models can already be ordered at prices of R$ 474.990 and R$ 699.990, respectively. According to the manufacturer, the A5 Avant sold out of all units offered in pre-sale.
The launches are part of the brand’s strategy to reheat the station wagon segment in the country. The A5 Avant arrives in a single S line 2.0 TFSI quattro version; The A6 Avant e-tron, also in a single S Line configuration, is the first 100% electric vehicle with an Avant body in Audi’s history. “We see enormous potential in the Avant segment,” says Marcos Quaresma, product manager at Audi do Brasil.

A5 Avant has 272 hp and all-wheel drive
Derived from the third generation of the A5, launched in Brazil in May last year, the A5 Avant uses the Premium Combustion Platform (PPC) and the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine from the EA888 family, in the evo5 variant. There are 272 hp and 40,8 kgfm of torque, associated with the seven-speed S tronic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive with Ultra technology. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 5.9 seconds, and the top speed is 250 km/h, electronically limited.
The standard list includes seven airbags, three-zone air conditioning, panoramic sunroof with adjustable transparency, Head-Up Display, camera with 360-degree vision, adaptive cruise control and Full LED Matrix headlights. With a length of 4,829 m and a wheelbase of 2,892 m, the model offers a trunk of 448 liters, or 1,396 liters with the rear seats folded down.

A6 Avant e-tron debuts the electric Avant body
Built on the Premium Electric Platform (PPE), the A6 Avant e-tron has rear-wheel drive and an electric motor of 367 hp and 57,6 kgfm, numbers that yield 0 to 100 km/h in 5,4 seconds and a top speed of 210 km/h, also electronically limited. The lithium-ion battery has 100 kWh and 800-volt architecture. The autonomy approved by Inmetro is 440 km, and recharging from 10% to 80% takes 21 minutes on direct current chargers of up to 270 kW. In alternating current, the model accepts up to 11 kW.
Among the highlights are the Matrix LED headlights with eight light signatures, the interconnected taillights, the 21-inch Audi Sport wheels and the virtual mirrors. With a drag coefficient of 0.24, the A6 Avant e-tron lags behind the A6 Sportback e-tron, which scores 0.21 and is the most aerodynamic Audi ever produced. The station wagon measures 4,928 m in length and 2,946 m in wheelbase.

Both models adopt the cabin of the “Digital Stage” concept, with three screens: 11.9″ instrument panel, 14.5″ multimedia center and 10.9″ display for the passenger. The A5 Avant also features Bang & Olufsen 3D sound with 16 speakers and 685 watts.
They also debut in Brazil the new generation of Audi Connect, which brings together more than 30 functions in the myAudi application, such as digital key, emergency call, vehicle location, remote commands and navigation with real-time traffic. In electric vehicles, the application locates charging stations and plans stops for charging. The onboard artificial intelligence assistant uses ChatGPT technology. According to Audi, the license accompanies the factory car, with no monthly fee.
