July 13 was declared as World Rock Day in Brazil by two radio stations in São Paulo. The reason was the holding of the mega event Live Aid, a mega concert held in the USA and England with several artists to fight hunger on the African continent.
Music is usually a recurring subject in the AutoPapo newsroom, those who follow our videos must have already noticed some members of the team with band shirts. To get in the mood for World Rock Day (which is not worldwide), let’s show a little of what plays in our cars.

Felipe Boutros, Editor-in-Chief: Metallica — Ride The Lightning

The choice of Felipe Boutros was the second album by the American heavy metal band Metallica. Ride The Lightning was released in 1984 and features classics such as Fade to Black.
Marcelo Jabulas, sub-editor: Deep Purple — Machine Head

Sub-editor Marcelo Jabulas always brings good suggestions to the team, but today he chose Deep Purple’s sixth album: “For the energy of the album, as well as the theme of Highway star, the historical importance of Smoke on The Water for rock and Lazy, which is my favorite Purple song”.
André Almeida, multimedia coordinator: Bon Jovi — Greatest Hits

Our head of audiovisual, André Almeida, said that he likes to listen to Bon Jovi in the car. In doubt between which album to choose, she ended up going to Greatest Hits, which comes with all her favorites.
Eduardo Rodrigues, reporter: Led Zeppelin IV

Led Zeppelin’s fourth self-titled album is always on the playlist of this reporter who speaks to you. It brings that typical combination of the British heavy rock band, with blues and with elements inspired by the books of J. R. R. Tolkien.
Júlia Vargas, reporter: The Backseat Lovers — Waiting to Spill

In the midst of so many dinosaurs, reporter Júlia Vargas chose a more modern trail. Waiting to Spill is the second album by The Backseat Lovers and was released in 2022.
Lucas Silvério, reporter: System Of A Down — Toxicity

Our motorcycle expert isn’t as much of a rock guy as his peers, but he likes System Of A Down. Her favorite album is Toxicity, which features a lot of political criticism and the surrealist Chop Suey.
