Entry-level premium SUV will start to be sold in a more complete version, the range will grow when it is nationalized
The new generation of the Audi Q3 debuted in Brazil in a single version, the Launch Edition. The medium luxury SUV is sold in the SUV body for R$ 389.990 and in the Sportback for 399.990.
Audi said that other versions of the model will come, but did not reveal their positioning. Our bet is that they will be simpler models than the Launch Edition, to be more in line with the rival BMW X1.

Initially, the Q3 will be imported, but production at the plant in São José dos Pinhais (PR) is scheduled to start in 2026. The production of Audi cars there was interrupted in March 2025 to prepare the unit to produce the new generation, under an investment of R$ 50 million.

Like the previous generation, the new Audi Q3 uses the 2.0 TFSI engine and all-wheel drive. Now the engine delivers 258 hp and 37,7 kgfm, which are governed by the seven-speed oil-bathed dual-clutch S-Tronic transmission. Now the SUV accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, the top speed is limited to 210 km/h.
The measurements have not changed much: 4.53 m long, 1.86 m wide, 1.60 m high and 2.68 m wheelbase. The trunk can hold from 488 to 575 liters, the volume varies according to the position of the rear seat.
The second row of seats is mounted on a rail, as in seven-seat models. In addition to adjusting the distance, it is also possible to change the inclination of the backrest. Even those in the back seat can find a good position inside the Q3.

The two front seats have eight-way electric and lumbar adjustment, the memory is only for the driver. These seats also have heating.
The equipment package also includes three-zone air conditioning, configurable interior ambient light, panoramic sunroof, 19-inch wheels, seven airbags, ADAS package, adaptive cruise control, sound system with 260W of power and 10 speakers, electric trunk opening and ventilated induction smartphone charger.

The price range where the Audi Q3 is positioned has become quite competitive in recent years with the arrival of electrified Chinese models. The German model seems to bet on technical refinement and driving pleasure to win over a more enthusiastic audience.
It has an excellent suspension and steering calibration, which provides good stability in curves without impairing impact absorption. Running at high speeds, the body does not sway and feels slower than the speedometer indicates.
This combined with the good driving position makes the Audi Q3 an ideal partner for long journeys. The ADAS systems are non-intrusive, the lane avoidance assist gently “pulls” the car back for example.
The engine and gearbox assembly are already old acquaintances of Brazilians, but in the Q3 they work more smoothly than in VW sports cars. The all-wheel drive, also of the Haldex type, shows signs of evolution, the sending of force to the rear wheels is more noticeable.
This type of refinement is still lacking in Chinese models, which bring a lot of technology but are not engaging when driving. When compared to the rival BMW X1, the Audi Q3 turned the tables and became the most enthusiastic option in the segment.
