Car owners must renew their Vehicle Registration and Licensing Certificate (CRLV) every year. For this, it is necessary to pay the Motor Vehicle Property Tax (IPVA) and the Annual Vehicle Licensing Renewal Fee (TRLAV). The Department of Traffic (Detran) of Mato Grosso do Sul has already released the dates and values of the MS 2026 licensing.

Once paid, the new document can be accessed through the CNH do Brasil application, the service portal of the National Traffic Secretariat (Senatran) or the Detran website.

How to Pay for MS Licensing

This year, owners can pay fines and other debts in installments online through the Meu Detran portal, a digital service of the State Traffic Department of Mato Grosso do Sul (Detran-MS).

The installment payment is valid for pending issues that prevent the issuance of licensing, such as fines and debts linked to the vehicle. The service is carried out through BBPay, Banco do Brasil’s platform integrated with the Detran-MS system.

How to pay vehicle debts in installments online?

The owner must access the Meu Detran portal and enter the vehicle’s service area. The platform allows you to pay in installments:

  • fines;
  • fees;
  • other outstanding debts.

After regularization, the driver will be able to issue the Electronic Vehicle Registration and Licensing Certificate (CRLV-e) through the Detran-MS portal, through the federal government’s CNH do Brasil application or through the Senatran service portal.

Fine for late licensing

According to the Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB), driving with an expired CRLV is a very serious infraction, with a fine of R$ 293.47 and seven points on the National Driver’s License (CNH).
