Fiat discloses up to 12% fuel savings with the 48-volt mild hybrid system; all versions gain ADAS type safety systems
The Fiat Toro 2027 becomes the first mild-hybrid pickup produced in Brazil when it receives the 48V MHEV engine in its range. The mild-hybrid technology combines a combustion engine with a low-voltage electrical system (48 volts), reducing emissions (by 11%) and fuel consumption – by up to 12%, according to Fiat. It will be available in the Volcano and Ultra versions, both equipped with the 1.3 turboflex engine.
The 2027 Toro also offers advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) as standard in all its versions, which are now equipped with collision warning with automatic braking, lane change alert and automatic high beam switch.

The Ultra and Ranch versions also have a blind spot sensor and cross traffic alert as standard, while the Volcano now has this as an option. Toro’s DRL, which became pixelated last year, gains even more prominence with the arrival of the sequential arrow.

The Toro 2027 had a small price adjustment with the addition of new technologies that can reach a maximum of 2.5%.
The multifunctional electric motor acts to assist the combustion engine, generating both mechanical force to increase fuel economy, and in the regeneration of electrical energy, working in conjunction with the vehicle’s traditional electrical system – replacing the alternator and the starter motor. An electronic control manages the operation between driving modes, prioritizing efficiency and consumption reduction.
The new technology makes the vehicle more agile, acting directly on the acceleration curve and providing up to 65 Nm (6.6 kgfm) of electric torque, which results in faster responses when pressing the accelerator.
The combustion engines remain the same, both for the versions equipped with the MHEV and for the others. The 1.3 turboflex delivers 176 hp of power and 27,5 kgfm of torque. The MultiJet 2.2 turbodiesel engine, equipped with the Ranch and Volcano Diesel versions, offers 200 hp of power and 45.9 kgfm of torque.
It is worth noting that Toro has undergone changes recently. In addition to the arrival of the 2.2 Turbodiesel, the model’s design was controversially redesigned, with a trapezoidal-shaped grille with geometric and precise themes, cut by straight and vertical lines.
The optical assembly is entirely full LED, positioned above the air intakes at the ends of the bumper. All versions have a 7-inch digital panel, automatic transmission and electronic handbrake that provides more comfort and practicality to the driver, in addition to auto hold.

The Endurance version has R17″ alloy wheels, electronic parking brake, ADAS package, front (type A and C) and rear (type A and C) USB ports, air conditioning, electric steering, front and rear electric windows, electric door locks and electric mirrors with downward version. The vehicle also features remote control of the keys, alarm, 7″ digital cluster, 7″ multimedia, two tweeters, radio controls on the steering wheel and rear window defogger.
The driver’s seat is adjustable and the steering column is foldable and telescopic. Among the safety and comfort features are Cruise Control TC+ with electronic lock, side and curtain airbags, Auto Hold, segmented LED DRL, Full LED headlights and taillights, rear parking sensor, ESC, TC and HH.

It brings together all the items of the Endurance and adds a front armrest, 8.4″ multimedia center, paddle shift, reversing camera, leather steering wheel, dual zone digital air conditioning, illuminated passenger sunshade, floor mats, longitudinal roof rack and body-colored door handle. As an option, the Tech Pack with Fiat Connect/Me is available.

It includes Freedom items and adds the 48V MHEV system, R18″ alloy wheels, 10.1″ multimedia center, Fiat Connect/Me, wireless charger, leather seats, rear armrest, rain and twilight sensor, electrochromic interior mirror, puddle and tilt down lamps, LED ambient lights, keyless entry and start, chrome beltline and door frames, LED fog light.
As an option, the Tech Volcano Pack is available, with electric seats and front parking sensor with front cross traffic alert.

It encompasses all the items of the Volcano MHEV and adds blind spot sensor with rear cross traffic alert, darkened R18″ wheels, overturn, cargo bag, integrated Santo Antônio, black side footboard and fender. The version is also distinguished by the seats with exclusive embroidery and finished in red, external emblems on the front doors, internal emblem and darkened finishes and logos, in addition to an exclusive instrument panel with welcome.

It has all Volcano items, except the MHEV system, and adds a 2.2 Turbodiesel engine, AT9 transmission, 4WD traction selector, descent control, crankcase guard, ATR tires and the ESC off function for use in 4×4 low. As an option, the Tech Volcano Pack is available, with electric seats and front parking sensor with front cross traffic alert.

Gather all the items from Volcano Diesel and add blind spot sensor with rear cross traffic alert, chrome exterior mirrors, chrome side running board, chrome Santo Antônio and fender. The version has seats with exclusive embroidery and brown upholstery, external emblems on the front doors, internal emblem, interior and exterior finishes in brown with chrome elements, and carpet mats.
