Dongfeng made its official arrival in Brazil during the Interlagos Festival 2026. It will adopt the acronym DFM, pronounced in Portuguese, to make communication more accessible.
This brand is the fourth largest state-owned automotive manufacturer in China. In its history, it has collaborations with Stellantis, Nissan and Renault, but the DFM that we will receive will have its own technology products.

‘ plan
DFM’s domestic production is part of its four-year plan. It will already arrive with 60 stores in approval and 32 different business groups, to make sales in 47 areas in 21 states, in addition to the Federal District.
The pre-sale of the Vigo and Box models starts this Friday (27) through Mercado Livre. This duo will be the first products of the brand to arrive in our country. Initially it will come with the generalist brand DFM, but in the future will come the luxury divisions Voyah and MHero, the first with a more sophisticated look and the second with an off-road proposal.
The brand already has an after-sales strategy set up with parts distribution, customer service and training of technicians for the authorized network. The warranty of all cars is 7 years or 300 thousand km for the vehicle and 10 years with no mileage limit for the engine, traction battery and electronic control systems.
DFM’s first cars in Brazil
The brand debuts with two models: DFM Box and DFM Vigo.
DFM Box
The DFM Box is an electric compact hatch, measuring 4.20 m long, 1.81 m wide, 1.57 m high and 2.66 m wheelbase. The engine is 95 hp and 16 kgfm, driving the front axle.
Its battery pack is made of lithium iron phosphate, with 43.9 kWh and the motor uses a compact and efficient construction, which promises low energy consumption. The autonomy in the Inmetro cycle is 275 km and the direct current recharge capacity is 88 kW.

A curious detail of the DFM Box is that it has frameless door windows, as occurs in coupes and Subaru cars until the mid-2000s. Inside there are solutions such as the drawer-shaped glove box, as in the Geely EX2 Max, frameless rearview mirror and 50 w induction charger.
The equipment list includes features such as an ADAS package, multimedia center with a 12-inch screen, 360° camera and sound system with 6 speakers.
DFM Vigo
Above the Box model is the DFM Vigo, an electric compact SUV. It measures 4.30 m long, 1.86 m wide, 1.65 m high and 2.71 m wheelbase. It will come to face the BYD Yuan Pro and the GWM Ora 5.
Its engine is more powerful than the Box, with 163 hp and 23,5 kgfm. The 51.9 kWh battery provides 302 km of autonomy in the Inmetro cycle.

The DFM Vigo has a panoramic sunroof, electrically folding mirrors, ADAS package and 18-inch wheels. It stands out for its practical solutions in the 500-liter trunk, such as the split lid and the 72-liter compartment below the floor.
All DFM cars have undergone validation tests and received dedicated suspension set-up for Brazil. Prices have not yet been disclosed.
