Cadillac debuts in Brazil with two electric SUVs up to 604 hp

Cadillac has officially started its commercial operation in Brazil, the first market in South America to receive the brand’s new phase of international expansion. The debut takes place with the pre-sale of two electric SUVs: Lyriq and Vistiq, both imported and offered in their most luxurious versions.

The initial portfolio will also have Optiq, which, according to the company, is in the final process of homologation. The three models leave the factory with native connectivity, OnStar, 5G connection and Google built-in with Gemini.

The first experience centers will start operating in November, in São Paulo (Eurobike), Curitiba (Metrosul) and Brasília (Tecar), the same period scheduled for the first deliveries. The initial inauguration should take place in the vicinity of the Brazilian Formula 1 Grand Prix, when the Cadillac team also debuts on a national circuit.

Lyriq: 500 hp and 33-inch curved panel

Cadillac’s most successful electric model in the world, according to the company, the Lyriq arrives in the Signature Luxury configuration, with vertical LED signature, recessed door handles and 22″ wheels. There are two electric motors, all-wheel drive and 500 hp, with 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds.

The 95.7 kWh battery yields up to 405 km in Inmetro’s PBEV cycle and accepts 132 kW recharge in direct current, which takes from 20% to 80% in about 40 minutes. The trunk takes 793 liters, or 1,721 liters with the seats folded down.

Inside, there is a 33″ curved panel with 9K definition, AKG audio with 19 speakers and Dolby Atmos, heated, ventilated and massage front seats, panoramic roof with opening, head-up display and ambient lighting with 126 color options.

Vistiq: 604 hp, three rows and air suspension

Aimed at families, the Vistiq accommodates six occupants in three rows of individual seats, in the 2+2+2 configuration, with electric folding in the second and third. The two engines add up to 604 hp, with 36,8 kgfm on the front axle and 55,4 kgfm on the rear, which yields 0 to 100 km/h in 4,1 seconds and a top speed of 210 km/h.

The same 95.7 kWh battery delivers up to 395 km in the PBEV cycle. The SUV features four-wheel air suspension with continuous damping, four-wheel steering, five-zone climate control, premium coating without animal origin and a trunk that goes from 430 to 1,217 liters.

The technology list includes AKG audio with 23 speakers, head-up display with augmented reality, infrared night vision, drowsiness sensor, pedestrian detection in the rear, automatic braking in reverse and active cancellation of driving noise.
