Uber’s Black and Comfort categories are more qualified and result in more profitable trips for drivers. However, they require newer and more spacious cars, to offer greater comfort to passengers.
We list here seven used car options in the range of R$ 80 thousand that can run on Uber Comfort, three of which are eligible for Black. We took into account the changes that will be made by the platform from 2027 and selected models with cheap maintenance.
The Chevrolet Spin is a wild car for those who need a tool for work. The latest national minivan is sold in a variety of versions with five or seven seats, its trunk takes 756l and the 1.8 Family 1 engine is reliable.
To run on Uber Comfort we recommend the top-of-the-line Premier version of the year 2022, which is in the range of R$ 80 thousand. It already comes with seats with synthetic coating that are easy to clean, automatic transmission, reversing camera, parking sensor and multimedia center.

The Volkswagen Virtus is only accepted in the Uber Black category from the 2025 model, which is above the scope of this article. In the range of used cars for R$ 80 thousand, our recommendation is the 170 TSI model of the year 2023, it can be manual or automatic.
This 170 TSI engine is among the most economical 1.0 turbo on the market and has good robustness. The Virtus is a compact sedan with medium interior space, passengers will not complain about the space even if the driver is tall and the trunk can carry up to 521 liters – it even serves airport runs.

An affordable option to enter Uber Black with used cars for R$ 80 thousand is with the Renault Captur. This compact SUV has a spacious interior and a large trunk, which makes it also eligible for the Black Bag category.
Our indication is the versions with a 1.6 aspirated engine, which does not shine in performance but is quite robust. We could indicate the Duster as well, but this model will no longer be able to run in the Black from 2027.
4. Honda City 2019

The second-generation Honda City is another compact sedan with interior space worthy of a midsize car. As it is valued in the used market, the units found for R$ 80 thousand are from the year 2018.
This generation of Honda City came with a 1.5-liter aspirated engine, the transmission can be a five-speed manual or CVT. It is a reliable and economical car, but maintenance costs can be more expensive than other models on the list like the Chevrolet Spin.
These cars are at the limit to run in the Uber Comfort category in São Paulo (SP), which only accept cars from 2018 onwards. But you can run for longer in places like Belo Horizonte (MG), which accept from 2018. Check the rules of your city.
5. Nissan Sentra SV 2020

Among the medium sedans accepted in Uber Black, the best found in the range of R$ 80 thousand is the Nissan Sentra 2020, in the intermediate SV version. It is less valued than Japanese rivals Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic, but shares good Japanese reliability.
The Sentra stands out in this environment for being the most spacious in the segment at its time and brought a good package of equipment. This generation still used a flex engine, unlike the current one that only runs on gasoline.
6. Toyota Yaris Sedan 2021

The Toyota car that can be found for R$ 80 thousand is the Yaris Sedan 2021, which can do Uber Comfort. The compact came with the 1.5 engine of the Etios, but its gearbox is of the CVT type and not the four-speed epicyclic.
When compared to the rival Honda City, the Toyota Yaris has a simpler finish. But it makes up for it with the newer production year and the possibility of running in the Uber Bag category.
7. Hyundai Creta Attitude 1.6 2020

The first-generation Hyundai Creta can still run as Uber Black as long as the cars are made from 2019 onwards. The entry-level model Attitude 1.6 from the year 2020 is the one we could find in the range of R$ 80 thousand in the used market.
The performance will not be the best, as it is in other cars on the list. But the Creta makes up for it with robust mechanics and no chronic problems. Just be careful with airport travel, despite falling under the Black Bag, the 431-liter trunk may not be able to handle bulky luggage.
