Triumph confirms Trident 800 and updates 660 line in Brazil

New 798 cm³ naked is the main highlight of the brand, which also expands power and makes technical adjustments to the medium-displacement family

Triumph Motorcycles has confirmed the arrival of new models and updates for the Brazilian market, with sales scheduled to start in May. Among the changes, the main novelty is the debut of the Triumph Trident 800, which now occupies the top of the manufacturer’s medium roadster line.

The new naked arrives positioned above the Triumph Trident 660 and expands the line’s proposal by offering a more performance-oriented set. The model is equipped with a 798 cm³ three-cylinder engine, with 115 hp at 10,750 rpm and torque of 8,56 kgf.m at 8,500 rpm.

As a whole, the Trident 800 features a six-speed gearbox with quickshifter, assist and slipper clutch, as well as fully adjustable Showa suspensions. The braking system uses four-piston radial calipers with dual 310 mm discs and ABS with cornering performance.

The electronics package includes tilt-sensitive traction control, three riding modes, cruise control and TFT panel with connectivity. According to the manufacturer, the model has 198 kg in running order, seat at 810 mm and service intervals every 16,000 km.

660 Line gains more power and technical changes

In addition to the new 800, the brand also promoted updates to the 660 line. Models such as the Trident 660 and the Triumph Tiger Sport 660 now deliver 95 hp, with revisions to the three-cylinder engine setup and adjustments for more linear responses.

In the case of the Trident 660, there were also changes in the chassis, with a new frame, Showa rear suspension with greater adjustability and improvements in the gearbox and the Triumph Shift Assist system. The model also received visual changes, with a redesigned tank and new finishes.

The Tiger Sport 660, in turn, maintains the proposal aimed at mixed use, but now has an expanded tank to 18.6 liters, in addition to adjustments in ergonomics and aerodynamics. The package includes optimized cornering traction control, riding modes and quickshifter as standard.

Closing the news, the Triumph Daytona 660 also received updates. Equipped with the 660 cm³ three-cylinder engine and 95 hp, the sports car now has adjustable Showa front suspension, Metzeler M9RR tires and the Triumph Shift Assist system as standard.
