Shineray has made official the launch of the SBM 400RR in the Brazilian market. The brand’s new sports car is already available at SBM dealerships across the country and arrives with a suggested public price of R$ 44.990, a value that, according to the manufacturer, will be practiced nationally following its single price policy.
The motorcycle expands the portfolio of Shineray’s premium division and is another result of the company’s partnership with China’s QJMotor. In practice, the SBM 400RR corresponds to the QJMotor SRK 400 RS, sold in other markets.
The great differential of the SBM 400RR is the mechanical assembly. The sports car uses a 400 cm³ engine, four cylinders in line and 16 valves, an increasingly rare configuration in the category and which promises to deliver a riding experience aimed at high revs.
The Brazilian manufacturer has not yet officially released the model’s power and torque numbers. However, based on the QJMotor SRK 400 RS, the expectation is that the motorcycle will deliver 77.6 hp at 14.000 rpm and 4.0 kgf.m (39 Nm) of torque at 13.200 rpm. The tendency is for the final numbers of the national version to be quite close.
Another feature present is the assist and slipper clutch, which reduces the effort in activating the lever and increases the stability of the motorcycle during sudden downshifts, minimizing the locking of the rear wheel.
Chassis bets on inverted suspension and brakes with ABS
The chassis part of the SBM 400RR also follows the sporty proposal. At the front, the motorcycle uses an inverted telescopic fork, while the rear has a monoshock absorber.
The braking system consists of a double 300 mm floating disc at the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear, always with two-channel ABS.
The wheels are 17 inches, equipped with 120/70 tires at the front and 160/60 at the rear. The set is supported by a steel chassis with a truss perimeter structure.
TFT panel, LED lighting and connectivity
Among the standard equipment, the SBM 400RR offers a color TFT panel, full LED lighting, tilt sensor, side stand sensor and USB and USB-C ports for charging electronic devices.
The sports bike has 185 kg in running order and a fuel tank with a capacity of 16 liters. At launch, the model will be sold in red and black.
Availability
Although the official presentation initially took place through SBM’s social networks, the 400RR is also part of the brand’s official catalog. Shineray confirmed that the new sports car is available for purchase at SBM dealerships throughout Brazil.
