App delivery workers can now apply for financing motorcycles, scooters, mopeds and electric bicycles through the Move Brasil program. The federal government’s initiative officially came into effect for the category last Monday (27), offering facilitated credit conditions for professionals who wish to renew their fleet with new vehicles produced in Brazil.
The program’s main objective is to serve delivery cyclists, motoapps, motorcycle taxi drivers and motorcycle couriers, who will be able to purchase newer, more efficient and, in some cases, electric vehicles.
Financing lines are now offered by banks and accredited financial institutions, such as Caixa Econômica Federal and Banco do Brasil.
- Government will cover default of iFood delivery workers who do not pay for motorcycle
- Practical exam to get a motorcycle license in SP changes; Discover new format
- Honda Pop arrives in the 2027 version: the left lever is back, but as a brake
To apply for credit, the worker must be previously registered in the program through the Gov.br account and have received confirmation of eligibility, issued within five business days. After that, just look for one of the participating financial institutions for credit analysis.
The financing only includes vehicles produced in Brazil from 2024 and approved by the program. The approved amount is released directly to the vehicle supplier, and not to the worker. As in any credit operation, contracting depends on the approval of the financial institution.
Interest below 1% per month
Among the main attractions of Move Brasil are the financing conditions. The program offers rates of 0.99% per month for men and 0.91% per month for women, in addition to a 60-day grace period for the start of payment of installments.
The maximum financing term is 48 months. When the program was announced by the federal government, it was also informed that each worker will be able to finance up to R$ 20 thousand for the purchase of a new vehicle.
Another differential is the use of the Operations Guarantee Fund (FGO), which works as a partial guarantee for banks. In case of default, the fund covers part of the financial institution’s loss, reducing the risk of the operation and allowing the offer of lower interest rates.
Who can participate
The program is aimed exclusively at workers on digital delivery platforms. To be considered eligible, the professional must prove performance in the activity and meet the criteria established by the government.
Among them are the exercise of the activity for at least six months and the fulfillment of a minimum number of deliveries in the period. After validating this information, the worker can apply for financing from accredited banks.
