Kawasaki KLX 230 is the brand’s highlight for Brazil

Japanese brand enters a segment dominated by rivals with a model that has street and trail-only versions

Kawasaki brought to the Interlagos Festival its bet for the trail motorcycle segment, the new KLX 230. The model will compete against established models in our market and will also have a version exclusively for trails.

The price is set at R$ 24.990 for the basic and S versions, while the RS (which cannot be licensed) is priced at R$ 19.990. They all have the same mechanical set, the S is made for smaller pilots.

The engine of the Kawasaki KLX 230 is a 233 cm³ single-cylinder with air cooling and 2 valves. It produces 19 hp and 1,9 kgfm, which go to the rear wheel through a six-speed gearbox with slipper clutch.

The model also has disc brakes on both wheels, with ABS at the front that can be deactivated. The panel is all LCD.

Kawasaki’s other novelty for Brazil is the updated Ninja ZX10R, for those who prioritize performance on the track. It will be sold for R$ 135.990.

The improvements applied to the new Ninja ZX10R focused on improving weaknesses of the previous model. The engine now responds better at high revs and the bike has become more agile.

It has 330 mm front discs from the factory, mechanical steering damper and new front wings. The 1-liter engine, with 206 hp at 13 thousand rpm.

Finally, Kawasaki brought the new KLE 500 to assess the public’s receptivity. This big trail is priced for the Brazilian market but has no release date yet.
