Ducati has expanded its lineup of single-cylinder supermotards with the presentation of the new Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera. The Nera version completes the Hypermotard 698 Mono family and bets on a combination of black with Ducati red details to reinforce the aggressive appeal of the model. Wheels, tubular frame and finishes follow the traditional sporting identity of the Italian brand. Among the differentials are the homologated exhausts from Termignoni and the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up/Down system installed as standard.

In the mechanical set, the motorcycle maintains the Superquadro Mono engine, single-cylinder derived from Ducati’s experience in high-performance models. The engine delivers 77.5 hp of power and reaches revs of up to 10,250 rpm, numbers that place the model among the most powerful single-cylinder in the category. According to the manufacturer, the engine uses solutions from the sports Panigale, including desmodromic control and titanium intake valves.

The Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera also bets on low weight to deliver more dynamic riding. The model weighs 151 kg without fuel and uses a tubular trellis chassis, alloy wheels and components developed to reduce mass without compromising structural rigidity.

The electronic package is one of the main highlights of the motorcycle. Ducati equipped the novelty with ABS Cornering, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake management, launch control and electronic modes aimed at sports riding. Among the functions available is the Slide-by-Brake system, created to assist controlled skidding in track use.

The manufacturer also points out that the model can receive the Termignoni competition exhaust for exclusive use in closed circuit. With the component, the power rises by about 7 hp and activates the Wheelie Assist system, an electronic feature that helps the rider to maintain wheelies in a controlled way.

In addition to the new version, Ducati has reinforced the availability of Ducati Performance accessories for customizing the motorcycle, including machined aluminum parts, sports footpegs and specific seats. The brand also confirmed that the Hypermotard line will continue to be present in DRE Road riding courses in 2026.

In the international market, the Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Nera will have a starting price of 11.995 pounds sterling, about R$ 80,8 thousand in direct conversion. So far, there is no confirmation about the official launch in Brazil.
