Avelloz currently occupies the 5th position in the Fenabrave registration ranking and, to continue defending its expressive growth, it has just launched the AZ170 Bravo. The small street competes for the category that sells the most in the country, ahead of Honda CG 160 and Yamaha Factor 150.

The variant has a genuine proposal of a small one that wants to reach the market leaders: simplicity and lower price than competitors. However, its limitations may be its weak point. The Avelloz AZ170 Bravo has a suggested price of R$ 16.990. In a similar configuration, the CG 160 Start, entry-level version, has R$ 17.350 (without shipping included)

The small one has that standard solution for entry-level motorcycles that don’t want to spend a lot, but still deliver the minimum.

Starting with the design, the Avelloz AZ170 Bravo delivers a clean, modern set adjusted to the standards of the current market, without much extravagance or doubtful points.

The front arrives with an LED headlight, a request that the big brands have only started to implement now. All lighting follows the same pattern.

The panel is digital and colorful, with speedometer, tachometer, gear engaged, odometer and what else the rider needs on a daily basis.

On the brakes is where the brand arrives late. Avelloz put what is simpler within current standards: disc at the front, drum at the rear and CBS combined system. Today, disc also at the back and ABS at least at the front is the best bet to classify a bike a few steps above.

The engine of the Avelloz AZ170 Bravo also leaves something to be desired

As much as it has a larger engine than the rivals 160 and 150 – they are 169 cm³ – with power (18.3 hp) and torque (1.5 kgf.m) also higher, in practice it drives less.

According to the manufacturer, the top speed exceeds 100 km/h. Industry experts who tested the model at launch recorded 105 km/h on the dashboard, depending on the track conditions.

Competitors easily exceed 110 km/h, which makes it possible to ride better on faster roads.

Registrations will depend on the network and after-sales

With these configurations, adherence to the model will depend on Avelloz’s pre- and post-sales, which in Brazil is a differential for the consumer.

The brand announced the new motorcycle along with a proposal to expand the market, since it has now started to assemble its motorcycles in the Manaus Industrial Pole and, with that, guarantees tax incentives that can be converted into investment.

The manufacturer also claims to have 400 points of sale in all regions of Brazil, with a concentration in the Northeast, since it is from Pernambuco.

For Avelloz, the AZ170 Bravo represents a concrete opportunity to expand our commercial operations and generate new business. The model is accompanied by a gradual distribution plan, focusing on strategic regions and strengthening our network. The expectation is that the new motorcycle will contribute to increasing our presence in the main markets of the country and support the next phase of development of the operation”, said the manufacturer at the end of its launch announcement.
