Zeekr, the premium brand of the Chinese group Geely, won the maximum score of five stars with the 7 GT electric station wagon — sold in China as 007 GT — in the Euro NCAP test protocol renewed for 2026. According to the European body, the model had consistent performance in the four categories evaluated, which places it among the safest options in its segment in Europe.
The best result came in the Collision Protection category, with 93%. In frontal and side impacts, Euro NCAP classified the protection of all occupants as good or adequate and awarded maximum points to children accommodated in the rear seats. The protection of the head of vulnerable users, however, was considered more limited. The post-collision safety system also performed well (95%): the doors, which were manually operated, remained operable after all the tests.

In driving assistance, the 7 GT scored 89% in collision avoidance, thanks to the autonomous emergency braking (AEB) system, which, according to Euro NCAP, worked well in most scenarios. The report pointed out limitations in the crossing of pedestrians and cyclists at low speeds and in encountering motorcycles at intersections.
However, despite the high overall score, the report brought reservations regarding ergonomics and the risk of distraction. In the Safe Driving category, the model was at 79%, penalized by the absence of physical commands: the concentration of functions on the central screen was pointed out by the evaluators as a factor that can increase the risk of driver distraction. In a test drive of about 2,000 km through Spain and France, the speed limit reading system identified the correct value around 79% of the time.

What does the Zeekr 7 GT look like?
Built on the PMA2+ platform, the 7 GT measures 4.82 m long, 1.91 m wide and 1.46 m high, with a wheelbase of 2.90 m. The electric station wagon is offered with 75 kWh and 100 kWh batteries, for a range of 519 to 655 km in the WLTP cycle, and accepts recharging from 10% to 80% in 13 minutes, with power of up to 450 kW.
The rear-wheel drive version uses a 422 hp engine and goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds; The all-wheel drive combines two engines and 646 hp, lowering the time to 3.3 seconds. In the top configurations, according to the brand, the model features air suspension, higher-performance brakes and electrically operated doors.

For now, Zeekr has not confirmed the 7 GT for the Brazilian market. In the country, the brand sells the Zeekr X compact SUV (from R$ 298 thousand), the 001 crossover (from R$ 495 thousand) and the 7X SUV, whose new Premium version went on pre-sale from R$ 378 thousand.
