Brabus, world famous for its extreme preparations on Mercedes-Benz models, has decided that dry land is no longer enough. In a move that reinforces diversification beyond the automotive sector — which already includes nautical partnerships with Axopar and Sunreef and developments in the luxury real estate market, including the project of its own island aimed at customers willing to live in a “brabusized” way — the company announced a strategic collaboration with AB Yachts. The goal is to take the “Brabus Masterpiece” philosophy to the sea.

The first fruit of the union is scheduled to debut at the Monaco Yacht Show in September this year. Although the technical details remain under wraps, the expectation is that the model will reflect the essence of the preparer: a combination of bold design, high-level craftsmanship and breathtaking performance. In a statement, Brabus said that the partnership should unite two distinct worlds of performance, innovation and design, with the promise of elegance, high performance and meticulous finishing. The concept image released shows a profile of fluid lines, with a sloping roof and wide glazing, as well as a short rear deck and a small diving platform, a sporty aesthetic that consecrated Brabus in automobiles.

The choice of AB Yachts is not by chance. The manufacturer is recognized in the nautical market for the construction of vessels with jet propulsion, aimed at smooth, silent and, above all, fast sailing. According to the company, its yachts exceed 50 knots (about 93 km/h), a level that serves as a reference for what is expected from the future Brabus model.

AB Yachts’ portfolio ranges from the 25.4-meter (83-foot) AB 80 to the 39.65-meter (130-foot) AB 130, the latter with capacity for up to 12 guests and five crew members. The partnership with Brabus should yield a more performative and exclusive reading of this recipe. It will not be the brand’s first foray into the sea: the Brabus Marine division already signs the Shadow line sports boats, developed on Axopar hulls.

According to Constantin Buschmann, CEO of Brabus, the new venture opens an unprecedented dimension for the brand, which continues the trajectory of Brabus Marine alongside Axopar and Sunreef. The project is the first in a series: a second world premiere is already scheduled for the 2027 edition of the Monaco Motor Show.
