Presented globally in Wuhu, China, the Omoda 4 already has a confirmed debut in the Brazilian market for the last quarter of 2026. The SUV is treated as the strategic pillar for Omoda & Jaecoo’s expansion in the country, with the aim of attracting a young audience through bold design and electrified powertrain.

The automaker’s strategy is to transform the model into its main sales volume in Brazil, serving as a gateway to the brand before the Omoda 5. The vehicle arrives with the mission of consolidating the local operation, which seeks a positioning focused on technology and connectivity.

Electrification and the Ultra sports version

Although the final range for Brazil is still being defined, the manufacturer is betting on electrification to differentiate itself from the competition. The hybrid version should use the Omoda 5 set, combining a gasoline engine with electric and DHT transmission, which results in 224 hp. The 100% electric configuration delivers 204 hp and 33,7 kgfm, with a range of 345 km by the Inmetro standard.

One of the highlights is the Ultra version, focused on sportiness. Equipped with the Super Hybrid System (SHS), it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds and features an exclusive visual package, with a rear wing and specific driving modes. The variant is evaluated as a possible limited series for the national market.

The Brazilian operation has set sales targets of 50 thousand units per year. To sustain volume, Omoda & Jaecoo plans to reach 100 points of sale by June 2026, ending the year with 150 dealerships. The company is also studying the development of flex hybrid engines and the installation of its own factory, depending on the maturity of the network of local suppliers.
