Do you know that car manual that no one reads, the book that is always forgotten in the glove compartment? Nissan decided to retire it in parts. Now, those who have the new Nissan Kait can ask questions about the vehicle by talking to an artificial intelligence assistant via WhatsApp. The feature already existed for the new Kicks and is now also valid for the Kait — the two SUVs that the brand manufactures in Resende (RJ).

The service is on Nissan’s official chatbot on WhatsApp, at (24) 99983-2984. Instead of flipping through a huge PDF, the owner types in the question and receives the answer taken directly from the official content of the manual. Access is made through the main menu, in the “My Nissan” or “Models” options. You can consult specifications, understand a car function or find out what that light that came on on the dashboard means.

It goes beyond the text

The idea is that the tool doesn’t just understand text: it also reads audios and images. So, just send a photo and the assistant explains what he means. The system was developed in partnership with Blip, a conversational intelligence platform, and locates responses in real time.

The novelty fits into Nissan’s plan to digitize customer service. The brand has been operating in Brazil since 2000 and has recently completed an investment cycle of R$ 2.8 billion in the Resende plant, where the Kait, the Kicks and the engines of the national models come from. And those who prefer the old method don’t miss anything: it is still possible to download the complete manual in PDF from the same menu.
