Leapmotor has opened orders for the B03X, its latest global model, in the European market. Positioned as an urban crossover, the size of the BYD Dolphon, the electric SUV starts at 24,900 euros (about R$ 147 thousand) and arrives as the beefiest version of the A10, one of the Chinese automaker’s bestsellers.

According to Leapmotor, the B03X combines greater performance, a range of up to 382 km and fast charging. The model measures 4.27 m long, 1.81 m wide and 1.64 m high, with a wheelbase of 2.61 m — typical proportions of a compact SUV with an urban vocation. At the front, the brand adopted a trapezoidal air intake at the bottom of the bumper, with ventilation openings next to the fog lights.

Built on the Cell-to-Chassis (CTC) 2.0 Plus architecture, which integrates the battery directly into the chassis, the B03X features a 197 hp and 20.4 kgfm front electric motor. With this set, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds and reaches a maximum of 160 km/h.

The jump in power is evident in the comparison with the A10 sold in China, offered with a single engine of 95 hp or 122 hp, both with 15,3 kgfm. In the European configuration, the brand raises the force to 197 hp and the torque to 20,4 kgfm.

Customers can choose between two lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries. The 39.8 kWh delivers a range of up to 292 km in the WLTP cycle, while the 53 kWh extends the range to up to 382 km. Both accept fast charging at 2.5C, which allows you to replenish 30% to 80% of the charge in about 16 minutes, according to the manufacturer.

Inside, the model adopts the Leap OS 4.0 operating system and bets on practical solutions. The trunk gains an extra 106-liter lower compartment, and the rear seats can be folded down up to 60º to expand cargo space.

The B03X reinforces Leapmotor’s international offensive. In China, the A10 debuted at the end of March presented as a direct rival to the Geely Xingyuan (EX2 in Brazil) and took off quickly: in May, it finished as the fourth best-selling car in the country, according to market data. With the Xingyuan also on its way to Europe, the global version of the A10 arrives to keep the pressure on the compatriot in the same audience that boosted the model in its home market.
