Leapmotor has confirmed that it will launch the Leapmotor B10 ‘Ultra-Hybrid’ in Brazil — a version of the compact SUV equipped with REEV technology, a range extender. The national premiere takes place at the Interlagos Festival 2026, between August 27 and 30, at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace, in São Paulo (SP)
The Chinese brand, controlled by Stellantis, did not disclose the price or technical sheet of the Brazilian configuration. In a statement, it only informed that the model will arrive with a package of novelties in the national range, whose details will be revealed during the event. The booth will also have the B10 Electric, the C10 Electric and the C10 Ultra-Hybrid.
How an electric with a range extender works

The acronym REEV describes a different arrangement than the conventional hybrid. In the B10 Ultra-Hybrid, the electric motor is always the one who moves the wheels. The combustion engine has no mechanical connection with the transmission and works only as a generator, producing electricity to supply the battery when the charge drops to a predefined level.
In practice, the car behaves like an electric car in any situation, with immediate torque, silence and without the transitions perceived in traditional hybrids. The difference is when it comes to replenishing energy: the driver chooses between plugging the car into the socket or stopping at a gas station. It is the same principle as the C10 REEV sold in the country.
In the markets where it is already sold, such as Europe and Argentina, the B10 REEV combines a 218 hp and 24,5 kgfm rear electric motor with a 1.5 aspirated gasoline engine of 68 hp, restricted to the generator function. The 18.8 kWh LFP battery, much smaller than that of the electric B10, yields up to 86 km in the WLTP cycle, and the 50-liter tank extends the combined range to about 900 km.
The recharge accepts 6.6 kW in alternating current and 46 kW in direct current. In Argentina, where it debuted in July, the version starts at US$ 31.990, or about R$ 167 thousand at the current price.

Electric B10 costs R$ 182.990 in Brazil
The B10 arrived in Brazilian stores in April, in a single and 100% electric version, for R$ 182.990. Leapmotor practices R$ 175.990 in campaigns with exchange bonuses and offers specific conditions for PwD, taxi drivers and CNPJ, always with wallbox included. The set has 218 hp, a 56.2 kWh battery and a range of 288 km by the Inmetro cycle, or 361 km by WLTP.
With a length of 4.53 m and a wheelbase of 2.74 m, the SUV features a 14.6″ multimedia center with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, seats with OEKO-TEX upholstery, seven airbags and the level 2 Leap Pilot semi-autonomous driving system. These items must be kept in the version with autonomy extender.
Stellantis has already confirmed that the B10 and C10 will be the first Leapmotor produced at the Goiana Automotive Complex, in Pernambuco.
