Jetour is preparing the debut of its fourth model in Brazil — the most luxurious so far. It is the new Jetour G700, a jeep that combines a 2.0 turbo engine with two electric ones that, in different configurations, can take up to seven people and deliver more than 900 hp of combined power.

The large plug-in hybrid SUV is expected to land in the country in September 2026, directly targeting the segment of utility vehicles with off-road capability occupied by models such as the Land Rover Defender and the BYD Denza B5.

Among other aspects, the G700 also has versions capable of floating on water. If they come to Brazil, they would make it the first production car with amphibious capabilities in the national market. The estimated price varies between R$ 500 thousand and R$ 600 thousand, but the option for variants more equipped for commerce in Brazil can take its price beyond that.

The Jetour G700 is built on the GAIA platform, with body-on-frame for added rigidity on uneven terrain. It is a large SUV, 5.2 m long, 2.05 m wide and 1.97 m high, with a wheelbase of 2,870 m and a clearance of 23 cm from the ground.

Under the hood, the CDM-O set combines a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with two electric motors, one on each axle, totaling 904 hp and torque of 115.7 kgfm. Despite weighing more than three tons, the SUV accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in about 4.6 seconds.

In autonomy, the 34.1 kWh battery guarantees up to 150 km in purely electric mode, with a total range of 1,200 km with a full tank, according to the most optimistic Chinese cycle. The 800-volt architecture enables ultra-fast recharges.

Inside, a 35.4″ LED screen stands out that crosses the entire dashboard and, in addition to the instrument panel, serves as a display for the front passenger. It is complemented by a 15.6″ multimedia center and additional screens (optional) for rear passengers.

The level 2+ autonomous driving system has a LiDAR sensor and 29 cameras and radars. The cabin also includes an integrated oxygen generator and CN95 air filtration system. Off-road, the G700 features differential locks, “Tank Turn” mode — which allows rotation on its own axis — and “Crab Walk” mode, for diagonal displacement.

The feature that arouses the most curiosity is the ability to float on water: this is because the G700’s fully sealed floor allows the vehicle to remain on the surface of a river, lake or sea for up to 40 minutes. In October 2025, the G700 Ark Edition version crossed the Yangtze River in China, and the feat was publicly repeated during the Beijing Motor Show in April this year.

In Brazil, however, there is still no confirmation that this specific version — equipped with the CEM-O amphibious system — will be marketed. Jetour did not detail which configurations will arrive in the country.

To support its launch, the brand intends to expand its network from 14 to more than 100 stores by the end of 2026. The strategy also includes the creation of a local research and development center to adapt the engines to flex technology.
