GWM has already defined the arrival of the Ora 5 in the Brazilian market in 2026, marking the manufacturer’s debut in the all-electric SUV segment in the country. The model, which uses the platform of the Ora 03 hatchback, adopts a retrofuturistic aesthetic and should be positioned with prices below R$ 200 thousand, in a strategy to face increasingly larger European and Asian competitors.

Performance and trade offensive
Maintaining the guideline that the Ora line is composed exclusively of electric vehicles in Brazil, the SUV will be equipped with a 204 hp and 25,5 kgfm engine. The range varies depending on the battery pack chosen: with the 37 kWh unit, the range is 329 km, while the 52 kWh battery allows you to run up to 455 km, according to the international WLTP cycle.

LiDAR technology and dimensions of Corolla Cross
With a length of 4.47 meters and a wheelbase of 2.72 meters, the Ora 5 is similar in size to a Toyota Corolla Cross, ensuring ample interior space and a generous trunk for the category. The technological differential, however, is in the LiDAR sensor installed above the windshield, which uses lasers for 3D mapping and obstacle detection.
In the cabin, the brand abandoned the single frame of screens and opted for independent displays for the instrument panel and multimedia center. The convenience package also includes ventilated seats and a panoramic sunroof, reinforcing the technological appeal of the electric utility.
