Abarth took to the 2026 Interlagos Festival a Pulse that it still doesn’t know if it will sell. Named Pulse Abarth Scorpionissima, the car is a concept created as a market and design study: Fiat’s sports division wants to measure the public’s reaction before deciding whether the proposal deserves to become a product.

Nothing changes under the hood. What changes is the packaging, and the inspiration comes from Italy, where the name Scorpionissima baptizes the most exclusive versions of the brand and the acid-green color (lime green) has become a signature.

The concept features a glossy black sports hood, exterior and interior details in acid-green, finishes inspired by the universe of high-performance cars and the new Abarth lettering, with a more aggressive design. Inside, suede upholstery and the Scorpionissima signature on the seats. The digital dashboard gained welcome animation: when starting the car, the scorpion moves on the screen and the model name is projected.

According to Frederico Battaglia, head of the Fiat and Abarth brands for South America, the intention is to bring the visual language of the Brazilian Abarth closer to European references without breaking with the legacy of Carlo Abarth, who founded the brand in 1949.

Pristine mechanics

Under the hood is the 1.3 turbo flex engine known as T270, with up to 185 hp and 27,5 kgfm when fueled with ethanol, associated with a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. According to the manufacturer, the Pulse Abarth is the fastest compact SUV in Brazil, with 0 to 100 km/h in 7,6 seconds and a top speed of 215 km/h.

The sporty setup is also the same as the line model, produced in Betim (MG): revised suspension geometry, firmer shock absorbers and the Poison driving mode, one step above the Sport, which releases all the torque with the accelerator at half-stroke.

The name that, in Europe, is electric

In Europe, Scorpionissima is precisely the seal of electric Abarth. The 500e Scorpionissima debuted as a limited series of 1,949 units, a number that honors the year the brand was founded. The 600e Scorpionissima is the most powerful production Abarth ever made, with 280 hp, and has no combustion engine. In Brazil, the same name arrives glued to a four-cylinder turbo flex.

The choice of the Interlagos Festival as a stage is not accidental: Abarth usually ties its launches to the track and competition environment, and the event brings together precisely the audience that the brand wants to hear. For now, there is no price, date or production confirmation. Fiat says that the decision depends on the receptivity to the concept.
