Latam Airlines has opened ticket sales for the first phase of operation of the Embraer E195-E2, the Brazilian jet that debuts in the company’s network in the last week of November. Up to 14 aircraft will be gradually incorporated by March 2027, during which time the model will take over 42 domestic routes and take the company to four cities where it has never operated.

The premieres take place in Cabo Frio (RJ), Ji-Paraná (RO), Macaé (RJ) and Rondonópolis (MT), all linked to Guarulhos. With them, LATAM reaches 67 destinations in Brazil, the largest domestic network in its history. The plan was detailed in the presentation of the second quarter results, and sales began on August 5.
“This is just the first phase of our operation with the E195-E2,” said Jerome Cadier, CEO of Latam Airlines Brazil, who says he will analyze up to 18 new destinations for a second stage in 2027, as Embraer’s delivery schedule advances. There are eight new routes in this first phase:
| Route | Weekly | Home |
|---|---|---|
| Guarulhos–Rondonópolis (MT) | December 2026 | |
| Guarulhos–Ji-Paraná (RO) | December 2026 | |
| Guarulhos–Cabo Frio (RJ) | December 2026 | |
| Guarulhos–Macaé (RJ) | February 2027 | |
| Brasília–Ribeirão Preto (SP) | February 2027 | |
| Porto Alegre–Viracopos (SP) | 14 | February 2027 |
| Curitiba–Londrina (PR) | 14 | March 2027 |
| Curitiba–Cuiabá (MT) | March 2027 |

Why LATAM chose Embraer’s jet
The operation is born from a firm order for 24 units, with another 50 call options, closed in 2025 and valued at around US$ 2.1 billion. The choice broke a tradition: the company’s fleet is made up almost entirely of Airbus and Boeing, and the E195-E2 competed for the contract with the A220. According to Cadier, the 136 seats of the Brazilian jet are better adjusted to the distances and demand of the cities served than the Airbus option, which would offer more seats and greater range.
In practice, the smaller plane allows it to open markets that would not support an Airbus. Six of the eight new routes have no direct competitor; the exceptions are Curitiba-Londrina and Porto Alegre-Viracopos, where Azul already operates. The cabin has 136 seats in a 2-2 configuration, with up to 20 in Premium Economy, in addition to free Wi-Fi for Latam Pass customers, USB-C ports and the LAtam Play platform.

More frequencies and the dispute for the domestic network
The jet will also fatten the offer on six routes already operated. Guarulhos–Cascavel, Galeão–Curitiba and Porto Alegre–Curitiba gain seven weekly flights each, reaching 21 frequencies, an increase of 50%. Guarulhos–Palmas rises to 21 flights per week, Guarulhos–Uberlândia to 28 and Guarulhos–Uberaba to four. In 19 other stretches, including Fortaleza-Recife and the connections between Guarulhos and Brasília, Manaus, Recife and Vitória, the E195-E2 will only assume part of the frequencies currently operated by larger aircraft.
The movement has a competitive address. Since 2019, LATAM has gone from 44 to 63 airports served in the country and will reach 67 with the new jet, advancing over the regional capillarity that has always been Azul’s territory. Anac data point to the group’s leadership in domestic and international market share since 2021, and an OAG survey for the 2026 Northern Hemisphere summer season indicates 38.2% of the offer of domestic seats, against 32.9% for Gol and 28.8% for Azul.
