Citroën announced on Tuesday (18) the 2027 Basalt line, which takes the Dark Edition version — responsible for about half of the model’s sales in the year, according to the brand — to the manual transmission and aspirated engine configuration, for R$ 98.990.
The entry-level version also changed in price: the Basalt Feel MT fell from R$ 97,690 to R$ 95,590, a reduction of R$ 2,100, after entering the Sustainable Car program, which grants IPI exemption to vehicles that meet energy efficiency criteria. With the rearrangement, the range now has five options: Feel MT, Dark Edition MT, Feel Turbo 200, Shine Turbo 200 and Dark Edition Turbo 200.
“In the 2027 line, we brought all the main attributes of the top-of-the-range and most successful version, Dark Edition, which today corresponds to about 50% share within the Basalt range, to the model with manual transmission and naturally aspirated engine,” said Pedro Silva, head of Citroën for South America, in a statement.

What the Dark Edition MT brings
The configuration keeps the 1.0 Firefly engine aspirated and receives the visual package of the line: darkened interior, seats with premium black coating and red stitching, steering wheel in the same finish, sports pedals, coated door armrests, double chevron and darkened logos and exclusive sill protectors.
Eligibility for the reduced IPI comes from the Smart Charger, a system that prioritizes energy generation in deceleration and braking and recovers part of what would otherwise be dissipated. The same solution has already guaranteed the benefit to the C3 line.

Turbo 200 wins match without a key
At the top of the range, the Dark Edition Turbo 200 costs R$ 120.990 and now offers keyless, with keyless start, in addition to the Polar White color, unprecedented in Citroën’s portfolio. The black roof remains optional, with the finish extended to the end of the rear window line. The Shine Turbo 200, from R$ 119.990, also receives the keyless.
The Turbo 200 engine, with up to 115 hp, continues to be associated with the CVT automatic transmission with seven simulated gears and Sport mode. In this combination, the Feel Turbo 200 is the cheapest, at R$ 113.990.
The entire line gained two USB Type-C ports in the second row, a USB Type-A input, 12 V outlet on the dashboard and document holder. The 7″ TFT digital instrument panel was maintained, and the 10.25″ Citroën Connect Touchscreen multimedia center received a new darkened background interface, with wireless mirroring for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
For the PCD public, the Shine Turbo 200 costs R$ 99.990, an amount that adds tax benefits and special conditions of the brand. The advertised prices are for direct factory billing to individuals in Ruby Red color. Citroën says that, with the new value, the Feel MT remains the most affordable compact SUV in the country.
