Chevrolet presented the 2027 Onix line, described by the brand as the most comprehensive in the history of the model in Brazil. With the hatchback bodies, the Onix, and Onix Plus (sedan), the family now brings together versions ranging from professional and fleet use to proposals with crossover, sporty and even sustainable appeal — an unprecedented range for the best-selling car in the history of the manufacturer in the country, with more than 3 million units produced locally.

The improvement of the set, according to GM, used artificial intelligence and supercomputer simulations to refine aerodynamics, suspension, engine and climate control. The engine reaches 115 hp and 17.7 km/l of gasoline through the Inmetro cycle, and the air conditioning cools the cabin up to 30% faster.

Four configurations debut or return to the line, each with a vocation:

  • Onix Activ: main bet, replaces the LT and LTZ versions of the hatch. It has 20.1 cm of clearance, raised suspension and specific angles of attack (19.7°) and departure (28.1°) — the deepest geometry change ever applied to the model. It comes with automatic transmission and Wi-Fi as standard.
  • Onix ECO: first version dedicated to ethanol since the popularization of the Flex, offered in hatchback and sedan. It reduces carbon emissions by about 70% in the well-to-wheel criterion and enters the MOVER Sustainable Car Program.
  • Onix Pro: special series limited to 3,750 units, on the aspirated 1.0 hatch, with 16-inch alloy wheels, reversing camera and premium finish.
  • Onix Log: aimed at fleets and light logistics, with a load capacity of up to 375 kg, removed rear seat and optional blackout film.

There are also updates that run through the whole family: flashlights with crystal lenses (in LED on RS, Premier and Activ), reversing camera as standard on more versions and eight years of free on the OnStar Basics plan.
