BYD expanded its portfolio in Brazil with the launch of the Sealion 7. The SUV with coupe body hits the market for R$ 339.990, filling the gap between the Yuan Plus and Tan models. Built on the same platform as the Seal sedan, the vehicle bets on attractive lines, high performance and a robust technological package to attract consumers in the premium segment.

In terms of proportions, the Sealion 7 registers 4.83 meters in length and 2.93 meters in wheelbase, in measures that surpass consolidated competitors, such as the BMW X4. To accommodate luggage, the SUV has 500 liters of capacity in the main trunk, added to an additional 58-liter compartment under the front hood.

The look follows the aesthetic language of the Ocean line. The bodywork features tapered headlights, interlocking taillights and creases inspired by the movement of ocean waves. The sporty vocation is accentuated by the 20″ wheels and the ground clearance of 16.9 centimeters.

Internally, the cabin mirrors the finish pattern seen on the Seal. The dashboard integrates a 10.25″ digital instrument panel with a 15.6″ rotating multimedia center, with wireless mirroring for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The list of standard equipment includes a panoramic sunroof, electric seats with ventilation and heating, ambient lighting and a set of 360º cameras.

The mechanical assembly is formed by two electric motors. The front unit generates 218 hp, while the rear delivers 313 hp. Combined in an all-wheel drive system, they yield 531 hp and 70,3 kgfm. According to factory data, this configuration takes the SUV from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, with a top speed of 215 km/h. Safety is enhanced by nine airbags and an advanced driver assistance system, with autonomous emergency braking and adaptive cruise control.

The energy is stored in an 82.5 kWh Blade battery, enough to homologate 360 km of range in the Brazilian Inmetro cycle (PBEV). The system supports recharges of up to 11 kW in alternating current and up to 150 kW in ultra-fast direct current networks. To add practicality, the vehicle comes standard with the V2L system, a technology that transforms the car into a source capable of powering external appliances.
