Bosch has announced the launch of a new business modality in the market: the subscription of the KTS Essential automotive diagnostic scanner. Offered in partnership with the PeçaAí platform, the initiative emerges as a flexible alternative to the traditional purchase of equipment, allowing independent workshops to access cutting-edge technologies with less initial investment.

The subscription strategy focuses on mechanics who seek to modernize the operation, but find it difficult to absorb the cost of acquiring their own scanner. By creating a continuous relationship with mechanics, the company simplifies access to the brand’s diagnostic ecosystem, Marcio Kumruian, founder of PeçaAí says:
We call this new model ‘My first Bosch’ because it brings a technology recognized by the market closer to the reality of workshops that seek to evolve in automotive diagnosis, but are not always able to absorb the initial investment. The subscription model makes this access simpler and more flexible”
National scenario: 90% of the fleet requires the use of a scanner with electronic diagnosis
The launch aims to meet a demand from the aftermarket. This is because, currently, more than 90% of the Brazilian fleet of light vehicles has embedded electronics, which makes diagnostic scanners highly requested items for day-to-day maintenance.
To enable the expansion of the technology, Bosch contributed more than R$ 30 million distributed in:
- Equipment and software development;
- Improvement of the user experience (UX);
- Qualification and training of technical and commercial consultants.
With this move, the multinational projects to reach the mark of 50 thousand units of diagnostic equipment by 2030 throughout Latin America.
According to Bosch, the KTS Essential was developed after testing and active listening to repair professionals in Brazil. The tool combines the hardware with an intuitive interface integrated with the ESI[tronic] software, allowing quick technical consultations and direct support to the workshop routine.
The company also reinforces that the subscription modality is additional, so conventional sales options and service to accredited networks, such as Bosch Car Service, continue to operate normally. The expectation is that the expansion of the connected base will benefit the entire automotive chain, generating market intelligence on spare parts and technical training in the country.
