A5 Avant, combustion, replaces the A4 and starts at R$ 474.990; the A6 Avant e-tron debuts the electric line of station wagons for R$ 699.990
Audi will once again have station wagons in Brazil. At the beginning of the second half of the year, the German brand reopens the Avant line with two novelties unprecedented in the country — the A5 Avant, combustion, and the A6 Avant e-tron, electric — one of the few to still bet on station wagons here. Both are already on pre-sale, with the first units scheduled for September: the A5 Avant S Line costs R$ 474.990, and the A6 Avant e-tron, for R$ 699.990.
To justify the import, Audi limited the stock and raised the positioning: the A5 Avant, which replaces the old A4 Avant, uses the new Premium Combustion Platform (PPC) and the 2.0 turbo engine with 272 hp and 40,8 kgfm, with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and quattro all-wheel drive. It goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and reaches 250 km/h. The price puts it in dispute with premium medium SUVs, such as the BMW X3 and Volvo XC60.
The A6 Avant e-tron is the first 100% electric model with an Avant body in Audi’s history. Built on the Premium Electric Platform (PPE), the same as the Q6 e-tron and the Porsche Macan, it has a 367 hp and 57.6 kgfm rear engine and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds. The 100 kWh battery operates on an 800-volt architecture, which allows it to recharge from 10% to 80% in 21 minutes on 270 kW chargers. The autonomy by Inmetro is 440 km. In price, it faces the electric Porsche Macan and the BMW i5.

Inside, the two station wagons adopt the Digital Stage concept, with three integrated screens — 11.9-inch instrument panel, 14.5-inch central multimedia and a 10.9-inch dedicated passenger display — in addition to a head-up display projected on the windshield. The system debuts the new version of the myAudi application, with a native app store and artificial intelligence via ChatGPT, capable of answering questions about the car and planning charging stops without mirroring the cell phone.
“The new models come to honor Audi’s legacy in a segment in which we are recognized for offering the most elegant and striking stations on the market. They are already born as extremely exclusive, with a limited supply of units”, says Renato Celiberti, head of Sales at Audi do Brasil. The bet is bold: the station wagon, which once dominated premium garages, is now a rare niche in the country, buried by the SUV fever.
