1.065 hp and 1min41s6: understand why the Revuelto SV is the most extreme street Lamborghini ever made

Hybrid super sports car has record power, goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds and will have only 1,963 units worldwide

Lamborghini unveiled last Friday (14) the Revuelto SV, the most powerful production car ever built by the Italian brand. The hybrid super sports car arrives with 1,065 hp and 145,3 kgfm, will be limited to 1,963 units — a number that dates back to 1963, the year the company was founded — and is already the fastest street car ever timed on the German Hockenheim circuit.

The basis continues to be the HPEV (high-performance electric vehicle) system debuted by the Revuelto: the aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine, recalibrated to 825 hp at 9,250 rpm, added to three electric motors — two axial-flow motors on the front axle and one radial flow along with the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. With the lithium-ion battery expanded to 7.3 kWh, the combined power rises by 50 hp over the 1,015 hp of the line version. There are 2,4 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, 6,7 seconds up to 200 km/h and a top speed above 345 km/h, with 1,772 kg of dry weight — the same as the conventional Revuelto.

The factory defines the SV as the most powerful and fastest production Lamborghini ever made in Sant’Agata Bolognese. Interestingly, the conventional version still has a slightly higher top speed. The automaker’s argument is on the track: official driver Marco Mapelli set a time of 1min41s6 at Hockenheim, an unprecedented mark for a street car on the track.

Aerodynamics gains 80% charge

The aerodynamics are the biggest change compared to the Revuelto. The vertical load grows by 80% and exceeds that of the Aventador SVJ by 10%, while the ratio between load and drag improves by 60%. For this, the model received a new front splitter , triangular air intakes at the bottom of the bumper and a fixed double wing with Gurney flap, which replaces the active element of the standard car and helps extract heat from the engine.

The CCM-R Plus carbon-ceramic brakes, with 42 cm discs at the front and 41 cm at the rear, stop the car from 200 km/h at about 110 meters, according to Lamborghini. Completing the package are manually adjustable shock absorbers derived from the GT3 and 20-inch 3D-Superlight Dromos wheels at the front and 21 at the rear, with a central attachment unprecedented in a standard Lamborghini.

Tailor-made tires and series of 1,963 units

A red selector on the steering wheel triggers the new Pilota mode, with five levels of traction control adjusted to tire wear and the track, alongside the Anima dynamics controller. Bridgestone has developed compounds for every scenario, from the semi-slick Potenza Race to the winter Blizzak LM005.

Customization includes up to 25 exterior components in exposed carbon fiber, five wheel finishes and 12 colors for the center nut and brake calipers. The price was not disclosed; Autoblog estimates something close to US$ 1 million with options, since the line Revuelto starts at more than US$ 600 thousand in the United States. One of the 1,963 units is on display in Monterey, California, during Car Week.
