The Vehicle Registration and Licensing Certificate (CRLV) must be renewed annually so that the driver can circulate with his car. This occurs automatically with the payment of the Motor Vehicle Property Tax (IPVA) and the Annual Vehicle Licensing Renewal Fee (TRLAV).
The Santa Catarina Traffic Department (Detran-SC) has already released the dates and values of the 2026 licensing. Once paid, the new document can be accessed through the CNH do Brasil application, the Senatran service portal or the Detran website.

When to pay for SC 2026 licensing?
In Santa Catarina, TRLAV is paid in the same month as the last installment of the IPVA. The licensing calendar varies according to the end of the vehicle’s license plate:
- End of license plate 1 – March 31;
- End of license plate 2 – April 30;
- End of plate 3 – May 31;
- End of plate 4 – June 30;
- End of plate 5 – July 31;
- End of plate 6 – August 31;
- End of plate 7 – September 30;
- End of plate 8 – October 31;
- End of plate 9 – November 30;
- End of plate 0 – December 30.
For the process to be complete and the driver to be able to issue the CRLV, in addition to paying the fee and the IPVA, it is necessary that he has also paid all traffic fines and pending issues associated with the vehicle.
