With so many variables involved such as model, year, mileage, state of conservation and location, understanding whether a vehicle is expensive or cheap requires more than a simple query to the Fipe table.
The used car market in Brazil is dynamic and sensitive to economic and behavioral factors, such as the limited supply of zero-kilometers, high interest rates for financing and the digitalization of negotiations. This scenario has made the used car segment more competitive and, often, with prices that surprise the inattentive buyer.

The Fipe table continues to be a price reference in the automotive market, but should not be interpreted as a definitive value. Supply, demand, state of conservation and location cause many vehicles to be advertised above or below the Fipe average. The ideal is to use the table as a basis and cross-reference the information with the prices practiced on platforms such as OLX, where it is possible to follow real trading values.
The OLX platform offers features that allow you to compare prices in real time, with filters by model, year, mileage, location, and value range. Thus, the buyer quickly visualizes how much the market is asking for the vehicle of interest and identifies relevant differences in relation to the Fipe table.

Mileage is one of the items that most influence the value of a used car. Vehicles with low mileage tend to sustain higher prices in the used car market, especially in high-demand categories, as long as the number is compatible with the year of the car.
The market considers an average of 15 thousand to 20 thousand km per year healthy. Mileage too low can indicate long periods of downtime, and too much above can mean increased mechanical wear.

Bodywork, paint, interior, tires, and electrical items directly impact pricing. Cars with a history of collisions, floods or repairs usually show relevant devaluation in relation to the Fipe table and the advertisements of vehicles with no history of structural damage. Before accepting a proposal, the buyer must request a technical inspection and consult the history of the chassis.
