Miniature automobiles, or just cars, have become a fever among collectors. And the demand moves commerce platforms, which register a growing increase in offers and searches. Hot Wheels cars sold separately continue to be the main driver of the collectibles market in Brazil. A survey by OLX, with data from the first half of 2026, shows that individual models accounted for 80.7% of sales made on the platform, in addition to concentrating 74.3% of searches and 80.9% of ads related to the brand.

The numbers indicate that consumers’ preference is focused on specific models, especially limited editions and miniatures that have already been discontinued. According to the platform, the average price of single carts was R$ 90, a factor that helps explain the interest of both experienced collectors and new enthusiasts looking to start a collection without investing in large lots.
Collections, kits and lots appear in second place in the ranking, representing 19% of searches, 12.5% of ads and 12.2% of sales. This format is mainly sought after by consumers interested in purchasing complete series or thematic sets at once.

In third place are clues and pieces, responsible for 5.5% of searches and 5.8% of sales. Other products, such as transporters, garages, briefcases, Monster Trucks and launchers, add up to less than 2% of the market share on the platform, but maintain an audience interested in expanding the experience beyond traditional collecting.
For Flávio Passos, vice president of Autos and Consumer Goods at the OLX Group, the data show that the market is driven by the search for specific models. According to him, the collector usually looks for a specific miniature, and not a batch of vehicles, making marketplaces a meeting point between sellers and buyers.

The survey also identified the states with the greatest interest in Hot Wheels products. São Paulo leads with 36.8% of searches, followed by Paraná (10%), Minas Gerais (8.6%), Rio de Janeiro (8%) and the Federal District (6%). The survey considered ads, searches and sales registered between January and June 2026 and compared the results with the same period in 2025.
