BYD announced on Monday (6) the launch of the Yuan Plus AWD 2027 in the Brazilian market. The electric SUV has received a deep update that goes beyond aesthetics, focusing on performance worthy of sports models and the adoption of all-wheel drive.
The main change lies in the mechanical set. The model abandoned the single-motor configuration to adopt two electric propulsions totaling 449 hp and 57,1 kgfm. The jump is remarkable compared to the 204 hp of the previous version, allowing the utility to complete 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.

In the cabin, the sophistication was expanded with a 15.6″ multimedia center and the shift of the gear selector to the steering column, freeing up space in the center console. The trunk has also grown, now offering 490 liters, complemented by an unprecedented 101-liter front compartment (frunk) under the hood, ideal for charging cables or small objects.

Energy efficiency followed the power gain. The new 74.88 kWh battery increased the SUV’s autonomy — which did not have the Inmetro measurement disclosed, but should be around 370 km. To mitigate downtime, the direct current (DC) recharge capacity now supports up to 205 kW. In terms of safety, the ADAS 2 package has been reinforced with cross-traffic alerts and the vehicle now has seven airbags, including a protective bag between the front seats.
Available in three colors (Time Grey, Skiing White and Obsidian Black), the new Yuan Plus AWD can already be found at the network’s 211 dealerships with a suggested price of R$ 269.990.
