R3 ABS Connected and R15 ABS models receive commemorative look inspired by the brand's sports bikes from the 1990s
Yamaha announced a special edition of the R-Series line in celebration of the manufacturer’s 70th anniversary in Brazil, celebrated in 2025. Although delayed, the models contemplated are the R3 ABS Connected and the R15 ABS, which now have an exclusive look inspired by the brand’s sports bikes from the 1990s.

The so-called “70th Anniversary” versions are painted in white and red, as well as black details, “Speed Block” style graphics and the traditional Yamaha symbol in gold. The R3 also features golden front canes as a visual differential.
According to the manufacturer, 1,800 units of the limited series will be made available in the Brazilian market, 600 copies of the R3 ABS Connected 70th Anniversary and 1,200 units of the R15 ABS 70th Anniversary.

The Yamaha R15 ABS 70th Anniversary is still equipped with a 155 cm³ engine with VVA system and liquid cooling, delivering 18.8 hp at 10.000 rpm and torque of 1.5 kgf.m at 8.500 rpm. The model also maintains an assist and slipper clutch, Deltabox chassis, monocross rear suspension and ABS brakes on both wheels.
The Yamaha R3 ABS Connected 70th Anniversary uses the well-known 321 cm³ liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine. The set delivers 41,3 hp at 10,750 rpm and torque of 3 kgf.m at 9,000 rpm, associated with a six-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch.

The models begin to arrive at Brazilian dealerships in June. The suggested price is R$ 24.090 for the R15 ABS 70th Anniversary and R$ 37.790 for the R3 ABS Connected 70th Anniversary, not including shipping. Yamaha offers a three-year warranty on the R15 and four years on the R3.
