CFMOTO has reached an important milestone in the development of its future super sports car. The prototype V4 SR-RR clocked 315.82 km/h during the Chinese Top Speed Record Challenge for Motorcycles, held on June 15 at the CCCC Automotive Test Center in Shangrao, China.

The speed, officially measured by GPS, made the V4 SR-RR the fastest Chinese motorcycle with a combustion engine in history.

Presented as a concept during EICMA 2025, the V4 SR-RR is equipped with a new 997 cm³ 90° V4 engine, capable of developing around 210 hp. According to CFMOTO, the project also has a weight-to-power ratio of less than 1 kg per horsepower, a characteristic normally found in the most extreme motorcycles in the category.

The numbers put the Chinese sports car on a level close to that of established models, such as the Ducati Panigale V4 S, with 213 hp, and the Aprilia RSV4 Factory, with 216 hp. Although it is still a prototype, the similar power obtained with a smaller displacement engine draws attention to the manufacturer’s technical evolution.

In addition to the absolute performance, the speed is impressive when compared to competition motorcycling. The mark of 315.82 km/h is just over 50 km/h below the recent MotoGP record of 368.6 km/h, achieved at Mugello.

The V4 SR-RR is still in the development phase and has no official launch date yet. The expectation is that the motorcycle will also serve as the basis for CFMOTO’s future participation in the Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK), consolidating the brand’s presence in the high-performance segment.
