The electric SUV imported from Germany leaves the subscription rental and arrives at dealerships promising more power, torque and autonomy
Volkswagen announced that it will start selling the ID.4 definitively in Brazil in 2026, ending the exclusivity of the subscription regime under which the electric SUV has been offered since 2023. Produced in Germany, the model will be the first 100% electric regularly marketed by the brand in the country and arrives in a more advanced configuration, with the promise of greater power, torque, autonomy and direct current recharging speed.
Until now, the ID.4 was only available through the VW Sign & Drive signature service. About 250 units of the Pro Performance version were initially brought, and it is with them that the manufacturer establishes the basis for comparison: the current rear motor delivers 204 hp and 31,6 kgfm of torque, powered by a 77 kWh battery, with a range of 370 km according to Inmetro and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 8,5 seconds.

Volkswagen has not yet revealed the technical sheet of the retail version, but it has confirmed relevant mechanical updates. In other markets, the ID.4 line has already received a new rear engine that raised the power from 204 hp to 286 hp — a number that, although not confirmed for Brazil, indicates the direction of the changes. The MEB platform, which totals more than 3 million units produced in the world, gives the model maturity of construction and software absent in the first imported copies.

Developed on 100% electric architecture, the ID.4 has a flat rear floor and spacious cabin. The finish features soft materials and electric front seats with memory, heating and massage function. The dashboard adopts a minimalist proposal, with a 5.3″ instrument display coupled to the steering column, a 12″ multimedia center and a gear selector on the side of the instrument screen. The set also includes a panoramic sunroof and the ID. Light, an LED string at the base of the windshield that changes color to signal navigation and recharging alerts.
