Mitsubishi has agreed to an unprecedented experiment in Brazil: making a pickup truck in partnership with automotive influencers on social networks. The result is the new Mitsubishi Triton BF///MS, a special series announced this Tuesday (22) for R$ 339.990, produced to order and with pre-sale open until September 7. Whoever gives a used one in exchange gets a bonus of up to R$ 29 thousand – which rises to R$ 32 thousand if the car is from Mitsubishi itself.
BF///MS is a brand of content about pickup trucks, with a community of almost 3 million followers, led by Guilherme Maia and Matheus Palhano. The acronym “BF” comes from “Big Foot”, the wheeled vehicles with giant tires that have become a fever in the United States. According to Mitsubishi, it is the first time in the country that an automaker and a media outlet have come together to create a car.
Brown and black throughout

The series starts from the top-of-the-line Katana Terra version and adopts the Baroque Brown color, with a lower band in Pearl Onyx Black. The contrast between the two tones guides the project: there is a grille, bumpers, roof, mirrors and door handles in glossy black, while frames and the signature Dynamic Shield follow the body color.
What separates BF///MS from ordinary Triton includes:
- 20-inch diamond alloy wheels in a dark tone, with Goodyear DuraTrac 265/50 R20 mixed tires;
- Electric side stirrups, which descend by themselves when opening the door;
- LED projectors on the doors with the name Triton and the horse, symbol of the community;
- Chrome crest on the doors and Triton BF///MS 4X4 logo on the bucket lid;
- Marine canopy, box box, 12V socket and trailer hitch in the bucket;
- Premium interior in brown and black, with cream stitching and dark lined roof.
Technology and comfort

The center has a 9″ screen with physical volume buttons, accepts two cell phones at the same time via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and brings offline GPS. The sound is signed by JBL, with four speakers, two tweeters, amplifier and subwoofer. Completing the list are a 360º camera, parking sensors, rain sensor, two-zone digital air conditioning with roof outlets and electric driver’s seat.
Under the hood is the 2.4 biturbo 4N16 diesel engine, which yields 205 hp and 47,9 kgfm of torque, with a six-speed automatic transmission. The entire mechanical assembly is protected by a steel plate under the chassis.
In the 4×4 part, the series maintains the Super Select 4WD-II, with seven driving modes (Normal, Eco, Gravel, Snow, Mud, Sand and Rock), descent control, rear differential lock and AYC yaw control.
