Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the first interior images of the second generation of the 4-door Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé, the first electric vehicle (EV) developed entirely by the sports division in the city of Affalterbach. The model reaffirms the path taken by Mercedes in its cabins, adopting giant screens that prioritize the digital experience. The official launch of the car is scheduled to take place in 2026.

Digital cockpit and three-screen interface

The interior environment of the GR Coupé is dominated by the new “Superscreen” interface, which houses three screens under a continuous glass surface. The driver has a 10.2″ instrument panel, while the center of the console and the area in front of the passenger receive two 14″ monitors each. Unlike the current Hyperscreen, the new configuration features sharper frames, anticipating the visual identity that will be applied in the next restyling of the S-Class.
Ergonomics have been simplified with the removal of almost all physical buttons. Essential functions, such as air conditioning, are now controlled via software. On the center console, there are only three rotary selectors for adjusting the response of the engines and nine-level traction control. Another technological detail is the panoramic sunroof with adjustable opacity, which projects the illuminated AMG logo.

1,341 hp performance and ultra-fast charging
Inspired by the GT-XX concept, the new electric sedan projects superlative numbers. Equipped with three motors, the set should deliver 1,341 hp and a top speed of more than 360 km/h. The state-of-the-art electric architecture supports recharges of up to 850 kW, allowing it to recover 400 km of range in just five minutes. In addition to the sedan version, the platform will serve as the basis for an unprecedented high-performance SUV, scheduled for 2027.
