Localiza has retired the Meoo brand and, now, the company’s subscription car operation is now officially called Localiza Signature. Along with the new identity, the service incorporates contracts of three, six and nine months, in unprecedented terms in a service that until then started from 12 months and reached 48 months.
According to Localiza&Co, the change goes beyond the name and seeks to simplify the group’s brand architecture, reinforcing the model of use of the vehicle instead of the purchase. In all plans, costs such as IPVA, protection, revisions and preventive maintenance are included in the monthly fee.
Short terms aim at temporary
use The offer of shorter contracts was designed based on a study by the company itself, which pointed out that 73% of consumers surveyed had a strong interest in plans lasting less than one year.
Among the motivations cited are temporary professional projects in other cities, periods of transition in career or family and the desire to test a model before buying it.
The traditional packages, from 12 to 48 months, remain in the portfolio. On the brand’s website, a calculator simulates scenarios to compare the cost of subscribing and buying a car.
Advance brings down the monthly fee
The second novelty is the flexible payment: the subscriber can anticipate part of the total value of the contract to reduce the following installments. Thus, the higher the initial contribution, the lower the monthly fee. According to Localiza&Co, the advance generates a discount on the final value of the contract higher than the CDI yield, without the company having detailed the calculation.
“This possibility prevents the customer from immobilizing capital in the purchase of a car and also guarantees an extremely competitive virtual profitability on the advance made,” said Breno Campolina, executive director of Subscriptions and Fleet Management at Localiza&Co.
The subscription operation brings together about 70 thousand active customers and grew 14% in the annual comparison, according to the company, which presents itself as the largest in the country in the segment. The monitoring is done through the application, in which the customer sees the manufacturing status of the car in the chosen color, schedules revisions, controls mileage and fines and adjusts the plan.
The “Where is my car” function shows the vehicle’s position in real time and allows you to set up alerts and digital fences. The company says that 90% of subscribers use the app on a recurring basis.
