Mascarello has completely renewed its line of minibuses. The bodybuilder from Paraná presented the S Family, formed by the S2, S3 and S4 models, which fully update the segment’s portfolio and debut to the market at Lat.Bus 2026, a fair for the passenger transport sector that takes place from August 11 to 13 at São Paulo Expo, in the capital of São Paulo.

The division between the three versions follows the type of operation. The S2 is designed for urban lines, corporate transport and chartering; the S3 occupies the mid-range, with a balance between comfort and efficiency; and the S4 assumes the position of top of the range, aimed at executive transport, tourism and intercity operations.

Lighter body and shared parts

The least visible change is also the one that most interests fleet owners: the new structural platform is based on what the manufacturer calls intelligent communization of components, that is, the standardization of parts between the three models, which reduces the complexity of assembly and repair.

In materials, Mascarello has adopted external components in DCPD, an injection-molded polymer used in body panels, and a hybrid roof with aluminum application. The combination, according to the company, reduces the weight of the body and increases resistance to corrosion, with an effect on consumption and on the time of the vehicle stopped in the garage.

Full LED and new driver panel

The entire line now leaves the factory with full LED lighting and its own light signature. The optical assemblies were developed with a modular and symmetrical architecture, a solution that allows only the damaged module to be replaced and reduces the companies’ stock of parts. The S Family also features SmartBrake, a system that, according to the manufacturer, makes the braking signal more evident to those behind the vehicle. The statement does not detail how the device works.

The driver’s cabin received a redesigned dashboard, ergonomic improvements and a new distribution of controls. In the salon, the brand promises wider seats, LED interior lighting, new finishes and greater luggage compartment capacity.

The new visual identity continues the work started on Horizon, Mascarello’s first electric urban bus, launched in February this year. The two projects are signed by designer João Paulo Cunha Melo, who also participated in the development of the Marcopolo G8. Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Cascavel (PR), Mascarello was the first bodybuilder installed in the state. The company did not inform prices or which chassis will receive the new bodies.
