Italian restomod transforms 1960s classic into 640 hp sports car

The Italian Totem Automobili has unveiled a new example of the GT Super line, a family of restomods inspired by the Alfa Romeo Sprint GT, a coupe produced in the 1960s. Named Litorale Bredo, the model was developed to order and combines a discreet look with high-performance mechanics.

The project uses an aluminum chassis developed by Totem, but the example received a larger amount of carbon fiber, including all body panels. The paint in Big Sur tone, which refers to the green of the California forests, while the side moldings, wheels and front grille were darkened at the request of the owner. Small details with the Italian flag, applied by hand to the door sills, are the only prominent elements on the exterior.

Inside, the proposal is more eye-catching. The finish combines carbon fiber, titanium and leather, as well as details in rare woods on the steering wheel and gear knob. Some of the additional controls were installed on a console on the roof.

Under the hood is a 2.8-liter V6 developed by Italtecnica. Equipped with two turbochargers, the engine delivers 640 hp and 66.8 kgfm of torque in this example. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission.

With only 1,180 kg, the Litorale Bredo accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds. Totem also offers more powerful versions of the engine for other examples of the GT Super line. No value linked to the model and its production was disclosed.
